OMG what a blast to fly! I have never been a true EDF type of flyer, but this little gem has changed my mind. Out of the box and to the field in about an hour. Yes there are some alignment issues with some of the screw holes, but for the guy going out to fly this baby, you should not have any issues with using an awl to help align. If you are looking for absolute perfection in the finished model, get a higher priced EDF, this baby is meant to get you hooked on jets.
Using a 4S 2600mAh I got about 6 minutes of flight on the first flight. Couple of clicks of trim and we are rockin and rollin. Not having a landing gear to worry about, landing was a straight in glide approach and a slide out on the belly hard points. Hand launch, not a problem and you can do it by yourself. I did have help on first launch to set trims but after that, one man operation. This bird has more than enough power, 12-blade fan unit, to basically lift off out of your hands. I did about a 30 degree up angle, held on tight to the belly finger grips, I did add some contact sand paper to help hold, power up to full and pushed her off my fingers. Straight and level climb out and then the fun begins.
Want something different, feel the need for speed, but not break the bank, get a Scorpion and join the EDF revolution.
