Based on the popular Hangar 9 Ultra Stick, the E-flite Mini Ultra Stick comes 95% prebuilt from balsa and light-ply and is covered in genuine UltraCote. At the heart of the Mini Ultra Stick’s fun factor are two firewall options that let you use a wide variety of motor sizes, types and brands. This along with the ample clearance for larger props that its tall, lightweight aluminum landing gear provides gives the Mini Ultra Stick huge performance potential. You can push the envelope even further by adding the optional split quad-flaps.
The Mini Ultra Stick can be assembled and ready for flight in just 1 to 2 hours thanks, to:
- Preinstalled control surfaces and hinges - Preinstalled control horns - Preinstalled pushrods - Bolt-on horizontal and vertical stabilizers - Preassembled landing gear with wheels attached
Approximate Flight Time:
CG (Center of Gravity):
2.25 in (57mm) behind the leading edge
Control Throw (Ailerons):
1/2 in (15mm) Up/Down Low Rate or 5/8 in (19mm) High Rate
Control Throw (Elevator):
9/16 in (18mm) Up/Down Low Rate or 7/8 in (23mm) High Rate
Control Throw (Rudder):
7/8 in (23mm) Right/Left Low Rate or 1-1/4 in (32mm) High Rate
Optimize the Mini Ultra Stick for use with outrunner or inrunner geared motors with one of two firewalls that are included. A molded bulkhead stick mount is also included, allowing you to use any of the most popular motor sizes and brands available.
Pilots can push the Mini Ultra Stick’s flight envelope even further with the optional split, quad-flap configuration. The wing includes extra servo trays and special aileron construction that makes converting to this configuration quick and easy. A 7-channel radio and receiver with servo reversing capability is required along with some additional servo extentions for this option.
You must use a separate BEC or receiver battery since brushless esc typically cannot handle the current load of more than four servos.
The Mini Ultra Stick is versatile enough to accommodate a wide variety of motor choices. E-flite’s Park 450 890Kv Brushless Outrunner Motor (EFLM1400) with Outrunner Stick Mount (EFLM1915) provides excellent aerobatic or sport performance when matched with a 10 x 7 prop (EFLP1070). For a high power geared alternative, try the E-flite Park 400 4200Kv Brushless Inrunner Motor (EFLM1100) with a 6.5:1 gearbox (EFLM240) and 11 x 7 prop (EFLP1170).
The Mini Ultra Stick requires a 4-channel transmitter (7-channel w/mixing for quad flap option) and micro receiver. We recommend the crystal-free, interference-free Spektrum DX6 2.4GHz DSM System, which includes a micro receiver and 4 sub-micro servos.
